More than 1,200 Java fans followed the call of the JavaLand organizers to Phantasialand Brühl from March 15 to 17. Finally again a big Java community conference to attend on site! Finally learning and networking together again!
It was wonderful: more than 130 speakers gave over 130 talks on two conference days.
One of them was Richard, who welcomed over 200 people to his "Apache Maven Survival Guide". As a small goodie, we were able to hand out some RapidClipse T-shirts afterwards in preparation for spring, which was very well received. (We wonder if we should invest in a t-shirt cannon?).
All in all, after two years of this pandemic, it was really great to meet so many old friends from the community again and, of course, to make new contacts. This personal exchange and the unique theme park atmosphere are simply missing from online events.
JavaLand 2023 will take place – hopefully again at Phantasialand – from March 21 to 23, 2023. We are already looking forward to it!
By the way: If you missed JavaLand 2022, you can still purchase an on-demand ticket until February 28, 2023, which gives you access to all presentation recordings and documents until March 31, 2023. Registered participants who attended the event do not need to purchase an additional ticket; the recordings and slides are already available to them.
