JCON – the largest Java community conference
The JCON is an annual developer conference for the international Java community. Since 2017 it is organized by the Java User Group Oberpfalz in cooperation with JAVAPRO Magazine. One of the main sponsors is us, XDEV Software GmbH.
During the JCON, participants have the opportunity to refresh their knowledge about development with the Java programming language, to exchange ideas and to learn new things. Recently, more than 2,500 participants from over 77 countries and 6 continents were taking part.
With usually over 100 speakers – including internationally recognized experts – a rich program of talks and workshops is put together each year for the Java developer community. All sessions are streamed in real time so that participants can also interact with each other. The recordings are available for re-watch afterwards.
Before Corona, JCON was held as an in-person event in a modern multiplex cinema in Düsseldorf, Germany. This not only provided a unique atmosphere for live coding, but also ensured that even the back rows could easily see the code on the screen. But now that it's an online event, developers from all over the world can participate in JCON.
