HOW WE WORK
We move in a development cosmos that is constantly changing. But at XDEV Software, everything has revolved around two things from the very beginning: people and Java. Our software company has been based on these two foundations for over 15 years. And we like to solve problems – preferably together with our customers.
The often cited flat hierarchies are filled with life at XDEV. They find expression in short decision-making paths, direct communication and a motivated team that fits well together. Because the people in question include not only our customers and partners, but above all our employees.
Our values – honesty and communication at eye level, absolute transparency, mutual appreciation and openness to new ideas – have been firmly anchored in our corporate culture from the very beginning and are not just empty words. They shape our working atmosphere and promote the exchange of professional know-how. Further training, conferences and community events are an integral part of our calendar.
Our project teams develop using agile methods and with a lot of personal responsibility. We are very proud of the fact that we succeed at the balancing act between professionalism and enjoyment of work.
In addition to tools for Java developers, we also offer our customers corresponding services. These include technical support or consulting as well as the design and implementation of individual software. Our customers come from completely different industries, so that our projects are very varied.
OUR VISION
GOOD, BETTER, JAVA
Our vision is to radically simplify the development of custom software with Java, Eclipse and databases, so that as many users as possible are able to develop professional software applications based on Java and Eclipse for any business area.
With the innovative XDEV tools, our customers are able to develop productively much faster, require significantly less specialized know-how and benefit from much shorter development times, a shorter time-to-market as well as lower development and maintenance costs.
COMMUNITY
SHARING KNOWLEDGE, BENEFITING TOGETHER
At XDEV we are known for our open source frameworks (RapidClipse Framework, JPA-SQL, XAPI etc.) and our involvement in the Open Source community. Open Source thrives on give and take and we are very passionate about sharing our knowledge with the community. From the beginning we have participated in national and international conferences and exhibitions – as guests and as speakers.
From the very beginning, we at XDEV has invested a lot of time, money and passion in tool development. As early as 2009, we decided to make our tools available free of license costs and to publish the source code of our frameworks as open source. This way, we offer our customers the best possible transparency, flexibility, independence and investment security.
At the same time, we have our finger on the pulse of time and can actively help shape trends and incorporate the latest findings directly into our projects.
We are a member of the JAVAPRO Partner Network, co-organizer of the Java conference JCON and organizer of XDEVCON, our own developer conference, and thus also in close contact with the Java community. With a total of over 150 top-class sessions, XDEVCON and JCON are an annual guaranteed training event for our entire team. In addition, many of our developers participate as speakers and are enthusiastic about presenting their own development to the Java community.
