Microstream / EclipseStoreJavaJava conference

XDEV at IBM TechXchange Conference 2023 - Session on High Performance Persistence

This year, the first IBM TechXchange Conference will take place in Las Vegas from September 11 to 14, attracting top technology professionals to the MGM Grand Hotel.

Conference attendees will be spoiled for choice with more than 1,000 sessions across eight topics. They can get hands-on experience with the latest IBM technology - including hybrid cloud and AI - hear best practices from real practitioners, share product roadmaps with IBM experts, and hone their skills through hands-on labs and certifications. And certainly, there will be no shortage of peer-to-peer exchanges in a casual and creative environment at IBM TechXchange!

Our CEO Richard Fichtner will be there as a co-speaker and will give a talk together with Mark Stoodley (Senior Technical Staff Member at IBM & Chief Architect for Java SE Runtimes) and Markus Kett (CEO of MicroStream) on the following topic:

High Performance Persistence with WebSphere Liberty InstantOn
  • Date: Wednesday, September 13th, 2023
  • Time: 08:00 – 09:00 am PDT
  • Location: Chairman's 363, Level 3
  • Description: "EclipseStore is the new Java persistence for modern cloud-native Java applications and microservics. It enables storage of any Java object graph of any size and complexity seamlessly into any cloud binary data storage. Users benefit from ultra-fast in-memory data processing, 1000x faster queries, up to 99% cloud database cost savings, and unrivaled simplicity. The EclipseStore cluster enables users to run distributed and highly scalable applications in the cloud. Low startup times of the cluster's JVM nodes was our most critical issue. Using GraalVM native images was too much effort and a hassle. With WebSphere Liberty InstantOn, our cluster nodes are now starting in milliseconds without the need for using GraalVM native images. In this session, you will learn how you can use Liberty InstantOn to boost your microservices."
