From October 5th to 8th, the time had come again: JCON 2021, the most important conference for the Java developer community – for which XDEV Software GmbH once again acted as main sponsor and co-organizer – successfully passed the (virtual) stage.

Although due to the nature of Corona it was again a purely online event, it was more international than ever. And the four days had a lot to offer:

• 2500+ participants from 6 continents and 77 countries

• 156 sessions

• 10 workshops

• 134 speakers from 5 continents

This year's long list of speakers left hardly anything to be desired and ranged from freelancers to employees of world-famous companies such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Red Hat, Netflix or Facebook. The range of topics covered at JCON was just as diverse: from the internals of the Java language to web development to low code, DevOps, Agile and Culture.
