Last week, Richard went to London to represent XDEV as a speaker at the developer conference Devoxx UK!

In his talk "Apache Maven Survival Guide "Bring it on!", Richard demonstrated how to solve problems in the build – using only the Maven standard plug-ins – and make it faster, reduce costs, conserve resources and thus emit less C02, as well as how to find security vulnerabilities, making the legal department happy too.

Richard was also invited to be part of a cool quiz called "Java JEP’dy", which was great fun!

The game was created by developer Hanno Embregts with Sonatype, the London Java Community and Microsoft. Like in Jeopardy, "Java JEP’dy" consists of a series of Java related clues that the contestants have to use to guess the question.

All in all, it was a fantastic conference with an amazing community and we are already looking forward to 2023!
