Our Timo will be part of the team SONS OF BAVARIA at the rally "Pothole Rodeo Germany". From the Baltic Sea – with detours to Poland and the Czech Republic – to Austria. 1800 kilometers in 5 days – only on back roads and secret paths.
The special thing about it: as a low budget road trip (organized by the BackRoadClub) only cars are allowed that cost less than 500 Euros and are min. 20 years old OR have max. 50 hp OR have been driven more than 500,000 km. So you can see: this is not about speed, but about getting through together. The smaller the budget, the greater the adventure!
To combine the fun still with the useful, it has become a nice tradition that the rodeo drivers combine their rally with a good cause. XDEV therefore supports the BackRoadClub for the project "Chance auf Bildung" ("Chance for Education") with the aim to build a preschool class in Morocco (near Agadir) for 50 children. Together with the association "Child-Care-Afrika", they build the so urgently needed educational facilities together with the village communities.
This year's Pothole Rodeo Germany starts on June 28th and we are already curious about Timo's impressions and keep our fingers crossed that everyone arrives safe and sound.
