The OOP Conference is a fixed date in the calendar for the software community and will again take place digitally at the beginning 2023. From 6 to 9 February, technical experts, (project) managers and executives can get an overview of the state of the art in modern software engineering. The OOP with the slogan "SOFTWARE MEETS BUSINESS: The Conference for Software Architecture" is one of the best-known and largest software conferences in German-speaking countries.

In his talk, Richard shows how to move existing, legacy Java applications to the cloud to take advantage of serverless and scale-to-zero WITHOUT having to rewrite the entire application and he shows where pitfalls might lurk. And he explains how this can also save a fair amount of operating and maintenance costs.
