XDEV Plays in the First League of the Java Ecosystem

JavaOne is Oracle’s conference focused on the ongoing evolution of Java. It’s where the people who technically shape the platform take the stage – from JDK committers to Brian Goetz, Java’s Chief Language Architect.
This year, Richard Fichtner, CEO of XDEV, is one of only 16 Featured Speakers worldwide.

We’re incredibly proud of that. But the more important question is: What does this mean for our customers?
In concrete terms:

Understanding earlier where Java is heading.

We don’t make architecture and modernization decisions blindly, but with a clear view of where the platform is evolving. That reduces risk and prevents costly missteps.

Close to the platform – not just the documentation.

Our assessments of LTS versions, upgrade strategies, and framework decisions are based on direct exchange within the Java ecosystem – not just on release notes.

Modernization with substance.

Whether it’s Java upgrades, automated refactoring with OpenRewrite, or migrating from Swing to Vaadin – we approach technical steps strategically and align them with the platform’s long-term evolution.

Visibility in the ecosystem = meaningful connections.

As an active part of the Java community, we’re not just users – we’re contributors. Our visibility in the Java ecosystem is not an end in itself. It enables us to realistically assess developments, distinguish technological hype from sustainable trends, and provide recommendations that carry weight. For our customers, this means greater confidence in strategic IT decisions – and working with a partner positioned in the front row of the Java world.

We don’t just use Java. We’re part of the community, organize conferences, host user groups, and stay in close exchange with the people who are shaping Java’s future.
Or put differently: When you work with XDEV, you don’t just get a “Java agency” – you get buddies who are deeply technical and think strategically with you.

More details about Richard’s JavaOne sessions will follow in a separate post.
